Unifor thanks the RCMP officers for their work which led to the apprehension of the suspect of Wednesday’s shooting in Moncton, New Brunswick.

“Our thoughts now rest with the families, friends and colleagues of the three fallen RCMP members: Constable David Ross, Constable Fabrice Gevaudan, and Constable Douglas Larche. This will be a time of healing for the city of Moncton and for the entirety of the RCMP across Canada as they mourn the loss of these officers,” said Jerry Dias Unifor National President.

Safety is integral to community well-being and is something that all Canadians cherish and that our RCMP officers work hard to protect.

“Unifor will continue to work with communities and organizations across Canada to build a country free of gun violence,” said Dias.
