Unifor’s Local 101R Ratify Tentative Agreement With Toronto Terminals Railway

Vancouver, British Columbia, Unifor Local 101R-60 members ratified the tentative agreement reached with Toronto Terminals Railway (TTR) on August 24, 2023.

Unifor represents approximately seventy (70) engineers and conductors working at TTR at Delta Port and South Shore located Vancouver, BC.

“Coming out of the pandemic and living in one of the highest inflationary cities in Canada, coupled with the changing demographics of the workforce at TTR, we knew we had our work set out for us” said Local 101R Rick Raso. “But our bargaining committee rolled up its sleeves and were able to deliver a contract that provides for decent annual wage gains, increases and additions to paramedical coverages, increased shift premiums, and made a break through on obtaining our members a pension plan, while still protecting the RRSP contribution program for our more senior members- and those are just the more notable gains.”

“I am proud of the hard work and gains this committee was able to achieve during this round of negotiations”, said Bruce Snow, assistant to the Unifor National Officers.

In closing, the Unifor Local 101R bargaining committee would like to thank all of its members for their patience and support through this challenging and tough round of negotiations.

In solidarity,
